We are happy to share that Mr. Lazare, from Benin, West Africa, defended his MS Thesis title on 06 March 2024, "Tailoring Room-Temperature Ferroelectric and Magnetoelectric Properties in La and Se co-doped BiFeO3 Embedded Ti3C2Tx MXene Free-standing Film" under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Rizwan Hussain. Mr. Lazare worked on developing hybrid composite materials with promising applications in data storage technologies. These materials, which are combinations of co-doped Bismuth Ferrite embedded in 2D titanium carbide MXene (Ti3C2Tx), have significantly improved room-temperature ferroelectric and magnetoelectric properties. The tunable polarization of these materials, which can be adjusted under varying electric fields at different frequencies and magnetic fields, makes them strong candidates for non-volatile memory devices. This work opens up exciting possibilities for creating multifunctional memory devices that can improve energy efficiency and storage density. Beyond that, the physical properties of the materials and their tunable magnetoelectric response suggest potential applications in sensor technologies and smart electronic devices. We are also proud to announce that this research has been published in Ceramics International (Q1, HJRS-W, Silver). #NUST #PhysicsDepartment #MSPhysics #MaterialsScience #DataStorage #MXene #Nanotechnology #ResearchInnovation #MultiferroicMaterials #SmartDevices
