??Check out this article: Back in 2022, HCAI provided a $25 million grant to the Gateway-In Project to fund the recruitment, training, and employment of new California certified nursing assistants (CNA) and home health aides (HHA). Researchers recently conducted a survey on the project’s first cohort of graduates and found that the overwhelming majority of respondents thought that the training prepared them well or very well for their CNA/HHA roles! The highest education levels attained by CA’s registered nurses are unevenly distributed across the state. Registered nurses with doctoral degrees are twice as prevalent in the southern regions of California compared to the Northern and Sierra region. This observation was made possible through HCAI’s Health Workforce Research Data Center’s data visualization on California’s Registered Nurse Education Pathways, segmenting the data for degree distribution.
