Congratulations to Roxanne Eidom for earning her Black Belt! She just started in a new position with Denver Department of Public Health and Environment as a GIS Data Administrator, and we're super excited to see what she does next with her expert data skills :)

Let's give a big Denver PEAK shout out to Michelle Folmar on receiving her Black Belt #certification. In order to enhance the #efficiency of #departmentwide #utilization, maintenance, and fiscal responsibility, Michelle #simplified the #fleet #tracking #process with the #goal to enhance staff confidence in their ability to #identify information-aligned data points, improved tracking, and forecasting requirements. This will shave off 1.5 hours in their process with a soft savings of $8,140

?? Congratulations to our newest Green Belt Shannon Robledo! ?? ? Shannon implemented a process for Denver Human Service's investigation team for what happens when internal/external business partners don't comply with their subpoenas to produce records. Additionally, Shannon collaborated with DHS' legal team to recreate and update their subpoena with the goal of streamlining the process for their business partner by eliminating barriers inadvertently created by the previous subpoena. The updated version incorporated clearer legal statuses and definitions, making it easier for business partners to understand what information is being requested and the why behind it.

Earlier this week, Peak helped facilitate a Community Information Meeting in partnership with Office of Denver City Council and the Mayor's Office to help residents understand a potential future use of the Walter Remington Elementary School as a newcomer surge shelter. Shoutout to Joshua Posner and team for the hard work setting up the event. We had a great turnout and our city staff were able to answer a record number of questions from community! #communityvoice #cityofdenver

We are proud to announce Christopher McConnell,PG. of DOTI's Right of Way Services team is our newest Black Belt! Chris transformed an old, outdated standard work for pre-construction notes and modernized them to include QR codes, and updated information. The team conservatively estimates that this will prevent at least 12 structures from having to be replaced due to errors. Congratulations, Chris! We are so proud of you!

At Denver Human Services the mailroom team takes their work very seriously, as they know every piece of mail flowing through their process could potentially be someone's benefits or a family asking for assistance. Supervisor Rhonda and the rest of this amazing team have taken visual management to the next level, working continuously to eliminate pain points, and seeking to improve their service options. They recently hosted a Gemba walk for our Black Belt training course where we saw first hand all of their continuous improvements adding up and multiplying to be so much more. #processimprovement #ccd #denver #dhs #mailroom #humanservices #peak #gembawalk #denverpeak #localgovernment

A Black Belt we were supporting had to manually track a lot of people in a spreadsheet and milestone dates associated with each person. They also had to update stakeholders on this information frequently, which was another very manual process. This Black Belt asked around and was able to automate some of the process with Excel and Mail Merge. This is your friendly reminder that sometimes we don’t need new tools, we just need to better utilize the ones that we already have. Hats off to everybody who is continuing to do better with the available resources!?
