The State of Colorado passed a bill which provides a tax credit to organizations who provide alternative transportation options to their workforce to increase the use of alternative transportation. Canopy, an industrial full-stack manufacturer expanding capacity of critical ceramic materials and components for the U.S. Space and Defense industry, had their grand opening for CanopyHQ, with Denver South Board Member and Douglas County Commissioner Abe Laydon as one of the event's speakers. Since selecting Colorado as Canopy’s primary headquarters in 2023, their team has stood up next-gen manufacturing and materials development capabilities, having raised $4M in private venture capital, secured over $7.5M in federal R&D awards, and securing pilot customers for advanced ceramic thermal management components
