I’m honored to share that I’ve been awarded @Hilti North America’s Legacy Cup Winner for 2024! ???? Hilti North America This award is not only a recognition of the volunteer work of me and my team, but this experience has been incredibly rewarding as we’ve supported a remarkable organization. Denver Children's Home is a nonprofit organization dedicated to healing and treating children that have survived trauma, abuse, and mental health issues. In the U.S., a child enters the foster care system every 2 minutes. There are currently over 400,000 children in the foster care system and more than 50% of these kids become homeless after aging out when they turn 18. This organization is of great significance to me, because I was one of these children. Financial donations to Denver Children's Home fund the services and resources that give these children a chance to overcome and survive their circumstances. All it takes is one interaction to make a difference in the outcome of a child’s story. Denver Children's Home, founded in 1876, is the longest standing orphans home in Colorado and the children and staff have been inspiring to serve. I’d like to share my thanks to Denver Children's Home for their admirable dedication to the important work they do every day, and I’d like to extend my gratitude to Mike McGowan and Hilti Foundation for this once in a lifetime opportunity to raise awareness and support for an organization that lives our mission of building a better future. 'Tis the season for DAWSON’s annual Kalikimaka for Keiki tradition! Today the DAWSON ‘Ohana kicked off the 12 Days of Christmas event supporting children's organizations across the country. For the fifth year in a row, the DAWSON Denver team brought cheer to the Denver Children's Home and fulfilled children's wishes for the holiday season. The team purchased items to complete the wish lists for 15 children receiving services from the Home, including clothing, games, toys, bedding, and more. Additionally, the team spent the morning decking the halls for the Home, decorating trees, stringing lights, blowing up lawn decorations, and hanging stockings. The Denver Children’s Home provides a comprehensive therapeutic and educational continuum of care for our region’s abused, neglected, and traumatized children and their families with mental health issues. They offer prevention, intervention, and treatment programs grounded in trauma-informed care and the latest in brain-development research. Denver Children's Home seeks a Development Director to lead all fundraising efforts, which encompass foundation support, corporate partnerships, major gifts, annual giving, and in-kind donations. Additionally, the Development Director will oversee key campaigns such as Colorado Gives 365, the Combined Federal Campaign, the Colorado Combined Campaign, and various community events. Day-to-day, the Development Director will ensure that all development operations run smoothly and represent the organization in the community, while working closely with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to define and achieve ambitious fundraising goals that allow Denver Children's Home to further its mission of service to children and families. Denver Children’s Home (DCH) is dedicated to bringing hope and healing to children and families who have faced trauma. Through a range of therapeutic, educational, and community-based services, DCH provides a nurturing environment for abused, neglected, and traumatized children and their families dealing with mental health challenges. Our Summer Intern, Rio Groves, led a volunteering event at Denver Children's Home, where a team of Griffis Residential associates served a delicious lunch, provided by Griffis Residential. Along with setting up and cleaning up afterward, the team was able to eat with the children, providing a sense of community and positive role models for the organization's members. Denver Children’s Home is dedicated to restoring hope and health to children and families in need of support through comprehensive therapeutic, educational, and community-based services.
