Nothing beats in-person community.
After more than a year of hunkering down to survive year 1 of motherhood - it felt SO GOOD to be out connecting IRL with the tech + innovation community.
Now, more than ever, technology + product roadmaps literally shape our world.
Product leaders are at the forefront,
Technology leaders are in the trenches,
And impact matters at every level of TEAM and scale.
When I walked into the NY Tech Alliance Black History Month event this week - sponsored by Baddies in Tech, Black Women Talk Tech, Silicon Harlem, and Unicorn Ambition - the energy was palpable.
It was an inspiring evening celebrating the achievements of Black tech founders who are using innovation to address some of the?UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals. From tackling climate change to advancing quality education, improving health, and promoting equality, these trailblazers are creating meaningful solutions that drive global impact.
Black women founders are our most important leaders. Shout-outs to Libbie Health Inc. DentalFynd Pairgap and MMARA, your demos were on-point!
Without a doubt, the most successful companies will intersect product, technology, and people. It's one thing to say you have a roadmap, it's another to walk in integrity and with community on a daily basis.
Cheers to the leaders who continue to 'get in the ring' every single day. I see you. I honor you. And if we haven't connected yet, come say hi in my DMs.
P.S. LeAndria Streeter and Rakia Finley thank you for all you built in the Women-in-Tech DC User Group, y'all were the beginning of my journey and I heard you cheering with excitement during this event. Your leadership is everything.
