Introducing Waffle, part love letter to our customers and part return to our roots. At Density, we have long wanted to buy a self-installable, powered sensor that could anonymously count people. Something that was peel and stick but something without the compromises, waste, and latency of batteries. We wanted a product that prioritized speed, simplicity, and cost. Really real-time. Really fast to install. And inexpensive. Bonus if it had a personality. In the ten years we've been operating, we've met so many people who want the same thing. Frictionless people count, unburdened by the cost and complexity of installation. So we built it and we're calling it Waffle.? Waffle can be self-installed in about 3 minutes. It can be mounted on any wall, television, or table, and count 0, 1, 2, and 3+ with sub-second latency. Three dozen spaces that used to take four months to install can now be online in a single afternoon. Waffle is really small, really versatile, and at $149 for the sensor and $8 / mo for software, it's really budget friendly. It's also the first time Density is natively supporting temporary deployments and online orders. Waffle is what I wish we'd had when we started Density.
