#ThrowbackThursday this week is a 2017 project in Anchorage, AK, densifying landfill materials underlying Taxiway Q at the Merrill Field Airport. Here we dropped a 15.1-ton tamper from a minimum height of 70 feet to improve the soil. We have performed #dynamiccompaction for multiple phases of work at Merrill Field Airport since 2002.
