Thanks, Art Bridges and Cincinnati Art Museum! We couldn't have had such a beautiful show without you!
In "Portraying Identity," art serves as a mirror, reflecting both our self-perception and our perceptions of others. The exhibition, which is on view at the Denison Museum through November 29, features paintings, prints, photographs, and sculptures by renowned and unknown artists alike, highlighting a wide range of subjects and offering a unique window into the human experience.? ? The teaching museum, located on the Denison University campus in Granville, Ohio, is a member of the Cincinnati Art Museum (CAM) cohort—a multiyear, multi-institutional partnership made possible through our Cohort Program. This exhibition includes works on loan from CAM in addition to selections from Edward Khodorkovsky’s private collection and the Denison Museum itself.? ? Together, the works invite viewers to explore diverse interpretations of how individuals are perceived and depicted across cultures and continents, fostering a global dialogue on identity through the lens of creativity and expression.
