Our #DeMariaInAction team recently supported Forgotten Harvest at Alternatives for Girls in Downtown Detroit. Our dedicated volunteers worked together to load boxes into cars to distribute to people facing food insecurity in the surrounding areas. Yesterday, our Sustainability Team partnered with our #DeMariaInAction Team to volunteer for Friends of the Rouge. This organization does clean-up, tree plantings and maintenance along the Rouge River and surrounding areas to improve river/water quality. Our volunteers helped with rain garden maintenance by removing non-native/nuisance plant species from the rain gardens, picking up trash, and planting seeds.
