Today is World Diabetes Day, and Delta Tau Delta is proud to stand alongside the 1.45 million Americans living with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) as a philanthropic partner of Breakthrough T1D. Together, we’re working to break through T1D by raising awareness, supporting life-changing research, and advocating for a future without this disease. Every year, 64,000 people are diagnosed with T1D in the U.S. alone. While there’s no cure yet, advancements in research are making life easier for those living with the disease—and we’re proud to play a role in supporting this critical work. Learn more about Breakthrough T1D and how you can join the fight: https://lnkd.in/gfBjJafb Pictured are the men of the Delta Delta Chapter at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, volunteering at their local Breakthrough T1D Walk. Last month, they raised $3,600.00 for the cause.

?? Delta Tau Delta has been instrumental in shaping the careers of many members through the development of transferable skills, professional connections, and mentorship. Recently, some Delt staff members attended the Give to Grow Live conference in Atlanta, coinciding with the launch Mo Bunnell's book Give to Grow (Ball State, 1990), which emphasizes the power of giving on business and personal growth. ?? We want to hear how Delt has positively impacted your career—whether through the gift of advice, mentorship, or even a book. Tag a Delt who has made a difference, and both of you will be entered to win a copy of Mo’s Give to Grow! #Gratitude #Mentorship #GiveToGrow?

Attention undergraduate members: your voice matters! The deadline to participate in the Membership Impact Study is fast approaching! We encourage you to submit your survey so that we can better understand how our members experience Delta Tau Delta. What we know: In 2023, 4,229 members completed the survey, representing 53% of the total valid undergraduate population. Here’s what we found: * 41% of our members work full or part-time. * 68% pay for all or a portion of their dues. * 15% are first-generation college students. What we can learn: We have a unique opportunity to improve in belonging, affinity, commitment, and satisfaction. However, we’ve seen a decline in key areas over the past three years, including career advancement ambition, self-authorship, professional preparedness, and leadership, among others. New Format: The MIS will now be completed each fall, giving chapters their results in January to utilize throughout the year. We recommend setting aside 30 minutes during a chapter meeting for everyone to participate. The more voices we have, the better the data—and the more we can positively impact your experience! Deadline Alert: Be sure to complete the survey by November 1, 2024. Check Your Inbox: The survey was emailed to the address on file with MyDelt. Look for an email from "[email protected] on behalf of surveymonkey.com" with the subject line "Delta Tau Delta Membership Impact Survey." Questions? Email [email protected].

This past weekend, International President Anthony Albanese (The American University, 1996) visited our Delta Xi chapter at the University of North Dakota, where he received a tour from brother Joe Hoppenrath (University of North Dakota, 2026) of the airport that houses the university's extensive aviation program, and met university President, Andrew Armacost, alongside the Delta Xi Chapter President, Sam Schwartz (University of North Dakota, 2026). A weekend well spent!
