Delta Sigma Pi - Alpha Kappa Chapter

Yesterday, we had the honor of collaborating with Morgan Stanley to host a virtual recruiting event! During the event, we were fortunate enough to have three professionals from Morgan Stanley present:?Sara Sanchez Monsalve,?Matthew C., and Philip Lu. These three incredible people gave an informative presentation that highlighted the ins and outs of Internal Audit and provided tons of insight regarding the recruiting process. With such a detailed & in-depth presentation, our members gained valuable insights regarding the recruiting process, learned all about current available internships, and had the opportunity to connect with industry professionals at Morgan Stanley. We are so grateful to Sara, Matthew, and Philip for sharing their expertise and helping our members with their career aspirations!

This past weekend, the Delta Sigma Pi | Epsilon Lambda Chapter made the journey from the Rochester Institute of Technology to visit us at the University at Buffalo for a Networking & Resume workshop! The event allowed our chapters to foster new connections, gain insight into each other's chapters and how they operate, and grow our professional networks. Thank you so much to all the fantastic people who attended the event! Additionally, a massive shoutout to Brian Yan, the current Vice President of Professional Activities (VPPA) for the Delta Sigma Pi | Epsilon Lambda Chapter! Brian worked with our current VPPA, Zachary Sanders, to make this event possible. Our hope with this event is to collaborate with more Delta Sigma Pi chapters in the future to foster community, professional development, and new opportunities!

During this event, we were joined by three outstanding professionals - Amy Hanavan, Michelle Benczkowski, and Jillian Switzer - who all shared their collective insights into Moog's culture, career paths, and the impact & importance of their work. As undergraduate students looking to grow, it was inspiring to hear about all the exciting opportunities and roles Moog has to offer. Most importantly, a massive shoutout to Paige Bessel, a Brother of our chapter and a Student & Early Career Team Intern at Moog, for making this event happen! Her hard work, initiative, and coordination made this event possible. We are so thankful to Moog Inc. for coming and to everyone who attended the event! We always welcome opportunities like this to connect our chapter with industry professionals, and we are looking forward to more in the near future!

Making a difference, one tie at a time! ??? Our dedicated Delta Sigma Pi student volunteers teamed up with Say Yes at the Buffalo Public School System Community Schools Saturday Academies for a heartwarming no-sew blanket event. Together, alongside the kids, they crafted blankets that were directly donated to Say Yes Buffalo. “The best decision I have made as president of Delta Sigma Pi has been the initiative?to join Say Yes. Through this experience, we have gotten to feel the impact we could make in the community.
