Delta Prep is an educational 501(c)(3) non-profit. Our goal is to provide free SHSAT tutoring and mentoring to immigrant children, children of immigrant parents, and children who come from socially or economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Through the program, we hope to assist students in gaining admission into one of NYC's eight specialized high schools (other than LaGuardia High School). Delta Prep was created because we believe that all students, regardless of socioeconomic circumstances should have equal opportunity to prepare for the Specialized High Schools Admission Test (SHSAT) and gain admission to some of the best high schools in NYC. The Delta Prep Free SHSAT Tutoring and Mentoring program runs twice on week on weekends for 3 hours a day. We currently only offer this program via Zoom meetings and not in person at this moment as the ultimate goal is to have this program available all throughout NYC. *In-person photos were all taken throughout the duration of our summer 2017 program.

Great news, Delta Prep launching a brand new CS Program that is completely FREE!?????????? This program is led by Fariha Ahmed, a prior Delta Prep SHSAT Tutor. She returned this summer to both create and teach this program. Her mission is to teach incoming 8th graders the basics of Python, one of the most powerful and versatile programming languages. As this pilot program is expected to have high demand, we are only accepting a total of 15 NYC students that are entering the 8th grade in the fall of 2024. Hi everyone! ?????? Delta Prep is back for the 2024 Summer Session! At Delta Prep, we provide FREE quality tutoring and mentoring services for the Specialized High Schools Admission Test (SHSAT). This summer, our free SHSAT tutoring program will consist of 8 sessions starting July 7th, 2024 and will run until August 25th, 2024. Sessions will occur on Sundays and will last approximately 3 hours from 9am to 12pm each day. Potential volunteers - please note that we are a 501(c)(3) registered non-profit and can provide certificates of completion along with volunteer hours and letters of recommendation if needed. We are also able to provide mentorship by our executives and board who are involved in the fields of medicine, finance, engineering, and education.
