We have developed an Inclusive Lavatory with Accessibility Features designed for single-aisle aircraft which supports a wide array of functions for disabled passengers.??? ? A thoughtful layout, based on input from the Delta Advisory Board on Disability, allows passengers from 5th percentile females to 95th percentile males to utilize a fully touchless suite of features as well as the sink from a seated position.?A patent-pending overhead grab handle allows passengers with the physical ability to self-transfer from an onboard wheelchair to the toilet independently, if preferred, although the lavatory layout accommodates up to two assistants as an option. The unique door system acts as a typical bi-fold door for passengers with a flight crew operated accessibility panel to allow ample access.??Modifiable brightness and contrast lighting has been designed to accommodate those with vision impairment or light sensitivity, as well as voice prompts to assist those with hearing impairments to identify the location of the touchless functions.??All sensor functions are additionally identifiable with tactile touch symbols when voice prompts are not preferred.?An above-sink Smart Mirror translates crew PA announcements to closed captioning in accordance with ADA guidelines.?A full width changing table is housed behind the toilet supporting infants, as well as diaper bags, through children up to 55 pounds that require changing facilities.??? ? We are excited to announce that our team's design for an HVC Chiller System has been shortlisted for the 2025 Crystal Cabin Awards! This Galley Chiller design implements assistive cooling by using available cold temperatures in uninsulated spaces near the skin of the aircraft. Today‘s?galley chiller is a refrigeration system?based?on a refrigerant gas, which consists of numerous components and faces issues with frequent?breakdowns, particularly?due to compressor failures.?Lengthy repair time and a high volume of repairs translates to escalated costs and resource requirements to address these instances.?? Our solution eliminates the components which are the typical failure sources in today’s chillers and includes performance monitoring and reporting.?Utilizing a non-toxic coolant and the environmental cruising altitude cooling source, Delta Flight Products‘ innovation results in a significant boost to the efficiency and capacity while minimizing required power of current chillers. This solution is a drop in fit to the existing aircraft chiller installation and is scaleable to specific requirements.?A minimal modification for the non-toxic coolant line is the only impact to the installation on any aircraft type. Today we join All Wheels Up in celebrating National Accessible Air Travel Day which helps raise awareness on the need for accessible air travel for people with disabilities. Our team is committed to make traveling accessible with the development of two products. In collaboration with AirForAll, our double and triple aircraft seats can safely & securely lock a customer's personal wheelchair in place with the ability to retain typical passenger amenities like the headrest and tray table.
