We are honored to share that yesterday, at the Indiana Philanthropy Awards Celebration hosted by the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Indiana Chapter (AFP-IC), we received an Outstanding Business/Corporation Award. The annual?luncheon and awards ceremony recognizes "individuals, groups, organizations, and corporations in Indiana who have enhanced philanthropy and the community through their dedicated efforts, time, leadership, passion, and generosity." Nominated by Firefly Children & Family Alliance, the acceptance of this award is on behalf of our employees, who continuously reflect our strong commitment to community engagement through financial support, volunteer efforts and donations.?Congratulations?to all of this year's award recipients for having such a positive impact on others. Our employees are passionate about helping others, especially around the holidays. For example, our Women in Leadership (WiL) employee network organized a Coburn Place Thanksgiving Meal Kit Build at global headquarters, and wow, volunteers stepped up to help make it happen. Whether it was by unloading donated grocery items, setting up kit stations, assembling the contents or preparing for delivery, the group completed kits that will be distributed to 75 families. Coburn Place Safe Haven offers compassionate support and safe housing choices to survivors of domestic violence and their children in the Greater Indianapolis area. In honor of Veteran's Day, we are mindful of those who have served in the U.S. armed forces, and privileged to work with veterans who are also employees, family members, customers and business partners. Our employees, friends and family members gathered last week for a "gourdgeous" outing at Newfields a Place for Nature & The Arts for Harvest Nights, sponsored by our Working Parents Community (WPC). From the mystery of Mischief Manor to the foggy thrills of the Pumpkin Path of Peril (featuring tens of thousands of pumpkins), it was a night filled with fall fun and friendly spirits. Some even felt the Ghost Train rumble beneath their feet! “It was the perfect family-friendly activity to enjoy with our Delta Faucet Company team," says Gretchen Metallic Bankert, Associate Account Manager. "My sons especially loved running around with the other kids and seeing all the jack-o'-lanterns!” A big thank you to everyone who made this outing a night to remember. Our Industrial Designers fully embraced their “ooky” side for Halloween by transforming into none other than the Addams Family. Known for crafting imaginative, top-secret costumes, they took it to a whole new level with this year’s eerie ensemble. Are you dressing up today? We’re driven by a passion for supporting our local communities - especially when it comes to helping future generations thrive. Recently, our team in Morgantown, Kentucky, seized the opportunity to make a lasting impact by donating $8,000 to Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College (SKYCTC). This contribution will empower high school students to enroll in dual-credit courses, allowing them to earn both high school and college credits. “Our commitment to education and building a skilled workforce is unwavering,” said Teresa Montgomery, People Operations Manager. “We’re proud to help pave the way for tomorrow’s leaders.” A huge thank you to our Morgantown team for making this initiative a reality, and best of luck to the students and teachers in this incredible program. What a great night it was at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana’s The Main Event on September 26. The celebration at Lucas Oil Stadium featured Reggie Wayne, and recognized the impact of mentoring and those who make it possible. Whenever we hear about Delta Faucet Company employees supporting their communities, we like to spread the word. For instance, our team in Morgantown, Kentucky, recently hosted one of Morgantown-Butler County Chamber of Commerce's monthly meetings. The opportunity to network had a dual purpose. With a Back-to-School theme, backpacks filled with school supplies served as table centerpieces and were then donated to the local elementary schools.
