The Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) has announced that it won't impose fines or penalties for missing Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) filing deadlines under the Corporate Transparency Act—at least not until a new interim final rule is in place and its deadlines have passed. In the meantime, the BOI reporting requirements are back in effect, with a new deadline of March 21, 2025, for most companies. FinCEN plans to assess options for further modifying deadlines before this date. Stay tuned for updates, and make sure your business is ready to comply with the new reporting requirements. ?? The Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) reporting requirements under the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) are back in effect. On February 18, 2025 the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas lifted the stay that prevented enforcement.
