More than a crash: On top of clearing 7 million traffic crashes annually, traffic incident responders work to clear stalled vehicles, roadway debris, and other incidents so you can travel safely. This Crash Responder Safety Week, and every week, show thanks to your responders by staying alert, slowing down, and moving over when you see them. #CRSW

Today, on this World Day of Remembrance for road traffic victims in the U.S., Secretary Nicole Majeski and Deputy Secretary Shanté Hastings honor the many millions who have been killed and seriously injured on roadways all over the world including our fallen DelDOT employees. Please let this memorial now erected in the Delaware Highway Memorial Gardens at the Smyrna Rest Area act as a reminder that traffic deaths and serious injuries are preventable. When behind the wheel, remove all distractions, don’t speed, always wear your seatbelt, and never drive under the influence. Pedestrians and cyclists, always stay alert and be visible. Safety should be everyone's priority. Take the pledge to be safe and responsible when using all modes of transportation.
