The Delaware Restaurant Association (DRA) is the leading statewide business association for the restaurant industry in Delaware. Comprised of more than 1900 restaurants, the industry employs a workforce of more than 53,000 and is the largest component of Delaware’s tourism industry. As the number one small business employer and the fourth largest employer overall, the restaurant industry in Delaware creates an economic impact of over $2.6 billion. The DRA is the trade association dedicated to promoting, educating and advocating for Delaware’s food service industry, which proudly serves as the cornerstone of Delaware’s economy, careers and communities.

    Restaurants employ 1 in 10 Delawareans so the challenges of our communities often find their way into our industry. We are not alone and together with many families and business sectors that have been touched by the opioid epidemic, restaurants search for ways to make a difference! 50% of people dine in restaurants each day so arming restaurant workers with knowledge and information to support someone that may need help is part of why we are the cornerstone of every community. Restaurant operators and their employees are a vital network of frontline workers that support communities in need! Great working with Delaware's Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health (DSAMH) on this great video promoting a national model for training and policy development around this public health crisis and training workforce through DSAMH's Accolade Program! Public/private partnerships work!

They’ve all earned Gold Level recognition in The Restaurant Accolade Program! ?? The program was created to assist the restaurant industry with addressing the drug overdose crisis.
