The Delaware River & Bay Authority (DRBA), created by Compact in 1962, provides vital transportation links between the two states of Delaware and New Jersey. It is committed to the public safety and economic development of communities in Delaware and the four southern counties of New Jersey. The Authority operates the Delaware Memorial Bridge, two ferry systems and five aiports. Ferry systems include the Cape May-Lewes Ferry connecting the shore towns of Cape May, NJ and Lewes by crossing the Delaware Bay and Forts Ferry Crossing, which drives tourism traffic to the historic forts on the Delaware River from Fort Delaware to Fort Mott, NJ. Airports include Wilmington (ILG), Civil Air Terminal at Dover AFB, and Delaware Airpark, all in Delaware, as well as Millville and Cape May Airports, both in New Jersey.

This past Saturday, March 15, 2025, DRBA Commissioner Shirley ‘Becki’ Wilson was honored with The Lois Smith Tribute Award at the NAACP Cape May County 5th Annual Freedom Fund Gala at the Wildwood Convention Center. Starting April 1, 2025, cash toll rates for the Delaware Memorial Bridge will increase by $1 for passenger vehicles and $1 per axle for commercial vehicles. To avoid this increase, we encourage cash customers to switch to E-Z Pass, which remains unchanged.
