Tkuweyo has a new driver! Jessica Klinkam, our Assistant Restoration Coordinator, is officially licensed to steer our research boat, Tkuweyo (the Lenape word for "waves"). She recently took the helm for the first time in Dividing Creek and did a great job steering the crew. ??????

关于我们
Connecting people, science, and nature for a healthy Delaware River and Bay. The Partnership for the Delaware Estuary is a nonprofit organization that brings together people, businesses and governments to restore and protect the Delaware River and Bay. From its headquarters in Wilmington, PDE focuses programs and scientific research on the entire environment affecting the Estuary — from Trenton to Cape May, New Jersey and Lewes, Delaware. We encourage collaboration among the Estuary’s many stakeholders and seek practical solutions to help restore the natural vitality of the Delaware River and Bay on which plants, wildlife, people and businesses rely. The Partnership for the Delaware Estuary is committed to providing equal access to information about its programs, including document translation services for all individuals. Please [email protected]?to request PDE's free access services.

Way to go, New Jersey! On Friday, the NEW JERSEY DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION received $72M from the NOAA: National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration to advance climate resilience projects across multiple counties in New Jersey. The funding will enhance resilience in many of NJ's most densely developed municipalities, commit resources to help overburdened communities, implement projects that protect against the worsening impacts of climate change, and partner with multiple organizations to empower communities through education and workforce training on climate change concerns. This includes the 5-year program, Education, Climate Awareness, Training, and Engagement (EduCATE) Initiative, in which PDE will be involved. Read the full news release at bit.ly/46n3Euy
