The Hayward Fire Station 6 and Training Center project consisted of the new construction of a multi-building Fire Station and Fire Training Center that includes a classroom building, apparatus building, hangar building, storage building, burn building, covered break area, BART training structure, training tower, and an entry canopy. This three-year project involved the hard work and dedication of many of our core team both in the field and in the office with Del Monte Electric general foreman Mark Davis overseeing the project along with project management team of Thomas Kohlmeyer and Dustin Fly. Del Monte Electric has been awarded the facility NorCal NECA Project Excellence Award for educational project over $1M for the Evergreen Valley College Language Arts Building project! This project was design-build construction of a new 50,814 sq ft language arts building on the Evergreen Valley College campus. This included a 200-seat lecture hall, a three-story classroom and office wing with a connecting atrium lobby, and extensive site utility relocations and improvements to support the new building. Del Monte Electric is proud of our team’s outstanding work on the Stanford Medical Hospital Pediatrics Emergency Department. The project included the partial demolition and remodel of Stanford Hospital emergency department to convert to a 14,390 sq. ft. care suite for use as a pediatric-centered emergency department. This one is especially meaningful to us as we were informed that less than a week after this facility opened a young boy was brought in with life-threatening injuries and he was saved using the technology newly available in the state-of-the-art facility! It brings us great pride to announce that Del Monte Electric has been awarded the NorCal NECA Project Excellence Award in the category of healthcare over $1M! Congratulations to Ian Carpenter on his promotion to Senior Project Manager at Del Monte Electric. Ian started with Del Monte Electric in 1998 and worked his way up to general foreman before entering the office as a project manager five years ago. Ian has been integral to expanding the body of knowledge of Del Monte Electric, thus allowing us to take on larger and more complex projects. He has mentored many foremen and project managers over the years. Ian is a valued member of our team. #teamwork

Del Monte Electric kicked off our first Summer Olympic games last week with opening ceremonies including the torch carried by Nicholas Norgaard and passed off to Scott Barreuther. ? The team has been competing in our own version of individual and team events such as Boxing, Axe Throwing, Football, Basketball, Relay Race, and Archery. The games will finish this week and end with a medal ceremony on Monday. ? Congratulations to these athletes. Even those who have not medaled have put their best forward.
