Our South DeKalb, free K-4 school is designed around real-world project-based learning and depends on leaders like you to coach our students. Our school is 96% Black, so we prioritize our scholars building relationships with Black leaders so they know they can be leaders in any field they choose. Project partners will get training on how to coach student teams and will be supported by our teachers for the entire experience. There is also a $500 stipend available to project partners. The Atlanta Dream WNBA and Microsoft are bringing its popular "Power Her Dreams" free STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) + basketball clinics to our school community in partnership with DeKalb Brilliance Academy! Serving girls ages 6-13, participants will learn fundamental basketball skills, how to code a video game and meet a current Atlanta Dream basketball player. Each participant gets a free ticket to Microsoft's entitlement game with a discounted parent/guardian ticket.
