DeGolyer and MacNaughton’s expert Craig Ruhs will be presenting at the upcoming International Petroleum Technology Conference (IPTC) in Kuala Lumpur on Key Considerations for Advancing Carbon Storage Projects. Developing successful CCS and CCUS projects requires a strategic approach, focusing on three critical areas: ? Identifying suitable subsurface storage formations with the necessary capacity and integrity. ? Evaluating commercial viability through cost analysis and carbon market access. ? Establishing a robust Monitoring Plan (MMV/MRV) to meet regulatory and certification standards. Craig’s session will dive into best practices, critical screening factors, and insights from certified carbon storage projects—helping drive effective and sustainable CCS/CCUS developments. ?? Don’t miss this opportunity to gain valuable industry insights! See you at IPTC in KL. #IPTC #DeGolyer and MacNaughton #CCS #CCUS #CarbonStorage #EnergyTransition #Sustainability Here is a link to the exhibition seminar: DeGolyer and MacNaughton (D&M): Key Considerations for Advancing Carbon Storage Projects - International Petroleum Technology Conference (25IPTC)

Dive into the World of Petroleum Geology and Visit Hydrocarbon-Bearing Formations Up Close! Our recent field trip was a huge success! Our 5-day field trip offered a unique opportunity to examine the sedimentary and tectonic evolution of the Southern Central Andes, one of Argentina’s most classic sections. Participants were accompanied by our geology team and led by Dr. Diego Winocur, a research professor of geology at the University of Buenos Aires. This journey took our explorers from Mendoza City to Uspallata Village and toward the Argentine-Chilean border, trekking the famous National Route No. 7. Participants studied the geological and structural characteristics of the Andes, examined how these geological formations affect oil and gas exploration, and gained an understanding of the structural evolution of basins. They observed hydrocarbon-bearing formations up close, recognized lithologies in outcrops, and identified structural patterns, faults, anticlines, and fractures. They also correlated these formations with seismic lines and well logs. Upon returning to D&M’s office in Buenos Aires, participants engaged in a 5-day training course. D&M is excited to provide field training opportunities to our clients worldwide! #PetroleumGeology #FieldTrip #GeologicalTraining #OilAndGasIndustry #FieldExperience #ProfessionalDevelopment
