The annual Puttin’ on the Ritz musical revue is back, and citizens won’t want to miss this exciting evening of live entertainment, fun and fabulous food! The dinner/mixer/silent and live auction, sponsored by Friends of the Art Park Players, is held to raise funds for scholarships and internships for long-standing members of the Junior Art Park Player Academy. This years production of RITZ will feature your favorite City of Deer Park officials, JAPP's REACTION, VOCAL PERFORMANCE, CONNECTION, ACTION and some very familiar Art Park Player faces. Date: Thursday, April 3rd EVENT TIME: 6 PM SHOW TIME: 7 PM PRICING: Tickets are $30 each and can be obtained by calling the Box Office at (281) 794-2448

The City of Deer Park held a groundbreaking ceremony yesterday to mark the commencement of the Jimmy Burke Activity Center (JBAC) reconstruction project. This initiative encompasses the JBAC, Visitors Center, Museum, and Ella & Friends Dog Park. ??♂?????♀? Attendees included the family of former Mayor Jimmy Burke, City Council members, city administration and staff, representatives from the Tourism and Historical Committees, the Parks and Recreation Commission, and our construction partners, Rogers-OBrien and BRW Architects. The City is excited to see this project come to fruition. The JBAC redevelopment project is a direct result of the City's commitment to improving its infrastructure and quality of life. In the 2021 bond election, Deer Park residents overwhelmingly voted in favor of a bond package that allocated funds for various projects throughout the city, including the JBAC reconstruction. This community-driven initiative demonstrates the residents' dedication to enhancing their local amenities and creating a thriving community.

The Ella & Friends Dog Park will close on March 24th to make way for the construction of the new Jimmy Burke Activity Center, Visitors Center, and Museum, as well as a brand-new dog park! This closure will be in effect until further notice. We invite you and your pups to enjoy some final playtime before we create an even better community space, including a fantastic new dog park. ?? ?? ??
