The City of Deer Park will be hosting a series of Town Hall Meetings throughout the year to allow citizens the opportunity to ask questions in person about the Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Project. ?The current schedule of Town Hall Meetings regarding the AMI Project: ?? January 11 from 5 - 7 PM at the Jimmy Burke Activity Center (500 W 13th St, Deer Park, TX 77536) ?? February 15 from 5 - 7 PM at the Jimmy Burke Activity Center (500 W 13th St, Deer Park, TX 77536) ?? May 16 from 5 - 7 PM at City Hall (710 E San Augustine St, Deer Park, TX 77536) ?? September 26 from 5 - 7 PM at the Jimmy Burke Activity Center (500 W 13th St, Deer Park, TX 77536) This project is aimed at providing enhanced customer service to water utility customers. Starting in February 2024, over a 9-month project timeline, 12,262 water meters will be installed city-wide. Implementing AMI will empower Deer Park residents with a better understanding of their water consumption while equipping city staff to provide improved customer assistance. All City of Deer Park offices will be closed on Thursday, November 28, 2024, and Friday, November 29, 2024 in observance of Thanksgiving. We hope you take this day to reflect, rest, and enjoy the time with loved ones. Also, there will be no trash collection on Thursday, November 28th, or Friday, November 29, however the transfer station will be open from 9am to 4:30pm on Saturday, November 30th. Residents will need to provide proof of identity and address.
