As we talk with clinicians every week about their experiences, we noticed one topic has recently been coming up often: The importance of the collaboration between physician and patient - especially in cases requiring ongoing care, surgery, or both. Physicians in our Zoom conversations talk about making treatment decisions *with* their patients, rather than *for* them. Clinicians see it leading to greater patient engagement, better adherence to care plans, and a more positive outlook by the patient. (Of course, we love hearing how our ambient AI is contributing - making it possible for those conversations to be front-and-center during patient visits.) In a MedCity News piece today, one healthcare leader suggested less "paternalism" from providers and more focus on patient autonomy. Tell us: ?? What is your take on physician-patient collaboration? ?? If you're a healthcare provider, how do you approach the decision-making process with your patients. #patientexperience #physicianwellbeing #AImedicalscribe #specialtycare

Clinicians give us feedback all the time - just as you'd expect. Getting that feedback is part of our process. Which makes sense, of course, because our specialty-specific #ambientAI is *for* clinicians. Hearing from them, and talking with them, is the only way we can evolve, expand, and refine the DeepScribe platform in the most useful, beneficial ways. (Any #UX person will tell you that's just a best practice. ??) Nathan Shumway, DO, FACP at Texas Oncology shared his feedback recently - about using DeepScribe for complex care, but also about having his recommendations heard and applied. Give a listen. (We do.) #oncologists #specialtycare #feedbackloop #clinicianwellbeing

Ask anyone in healthcare what's needed to deliver the best possible patient experience and you'll get plenty of answers. Dozens. But to consistently care for patients at a high level, we need to consistently care for the clinicians who take care of them. That's at the core of what Commons Clinic CEO and Co-founder Nick Aubin talks about it in this Zoom video clip. Nick is the latest healthcare leader (and DeepScribe customer) to join our Zoom video conversations - here, he breaks down how Commons Clinic attracts and satisfies orthopedic surgeons, and where technology comes into play. Check out the video. Then tell us: What are your thoughts on the link between physician satisfaction and the patient experience? #ambientAI #orthopedics #leadershipclip #clinicianwellbeing #patientexperience

Cardiologists spend about 10 extra hours a week documenting their patient visits. Makes it tough to keep a "normal" work schedule, especially if you're part of an independent cardiovascular practice. CardioOne helps those independent cardiologists by providing the tools and support needed to thrive, fueling a network of outstanding cardiovascular care. By partnering with DeepScribe, CardioOne gives their partner practices AI medical scribe technology made for them, customized for cardiology. Clinicians gain that time back and get complete, cardiology-specific notes that help improve care. CardioOne CEO and Co-founder Jasen Gundersen MD, MBA says "The proof of DeepScribe's value is that our partner physicians use it all the time." And we're thrilled to hear it. Find out more about CardioOne and the CardioOne-DeepScribe partnership in this case study. You already know the pressing problems with clinical documentation: ?? It takes hours a day. ?? It distracts from the actual delivery of care. ?? When managed at day's end (... or later), the resulting note is often less than comprehensive. (We hear this directly from physicians all the time.) ?? Solution: Use an AI scribe to manage your documentation. But among the many considerations for the right AI scribe is the idea of context. An initial visit is not a follow-up visit - if your ambient AI can't understand the context of your care, you're left with more work. But what if your AI scribe understood the context of each patient encounter? It works like this: Imagine you're seeing a patient for the sixth time about their anemia. Instead of having to verbalize their entire history so it can be captured, you can have a natural conversation and focus on any new developments. Context-aware AI (like DeepScribe) will pull relevant information from past notes - and modify them as is appropriate - to create a complete, current note that reflects the patient's ongoing story. The result is far more efficient for clinicians, and removes the need for excessive verbalization or repetition. This approach is most valuable for specialties like oncology and cardiology, where chronic conditions require regular follow-ups. By minimizing the need to restate patient histories, clinicians can give their attention to the day's conversation and concerns. We invite you to read more about context awareness in ambient AI, and how it's part of the DeepScribe Difference. What are your thoughts? How could context awareness improve your documentation process? https://lnkd.in/eFpkRzVA #AmbientAI #AIScribe #ClinicalDocumentation #HealthcareInnovation #ClinicianWellbeing

If you use an AI scribe, how do you determine how accurate it is? (Or: Does you AI vendor share statistics on accuracy and quality?) Accurate AI documentation means less time charting and a far more comprehensive, informative note. ?? Our data scientists created a methodology to measure AI-generated clinical notes across six key areas. If you haven't yet checked it out, and our metrics, take a look. Did you know that the ancient Egyptians documented medical information? Dean Dalili, MD, MHCM, our Chief Medical Officer, puts that history in perspective as the guest on Mastering Medicare, the excellent podcast from Amy Schiffman, MD, MHS, HMD and Dr. Alex Mohseni. Check out this short clip, and be sure to listen to the entire episode as all three MDs deep dive into how we got to today's world of medical documentation and the transformation taking place with ambient AI. Last week, we featured some chat time with Dr. Jaymeson Stroud, a radiation oncologist with Ackerman Cancer Center. Today, some early-morning talk with Dr. Ackerman himself, Scot Ackerman, MD, FACR (you can see in the video that the sun wasn't even up yet...) Dr. Ackerman and his team of nine clinicians make up one of the most innovative oncology groups in the country - the first private practice using proton therapy to treat cancer. Complex stuff, as Dr. Ackerman will tell you. But before using AI scribing, he couldn't capture that complexity in clinical notes the way he wanted. In today's short video, Dr. Ackerman talks about applying DeepScribe #ambientAI to his workload - for a truly thorough oncology note and, for him, a better way of delivering care. Watch the video, and share your stories or questions. #oncology #specialtycare #clinicianwellbeing #patientexperience

?? "You actually can't build a better product for patients without first building a better product for physicians." That's from Nick Aubin, CEO and Co-founder of Commons Clinic, a practice that's resetting the way patients receive musculoskeletal care - think an organized one-stop shop for consults, surgery, PT, and more. Nick and the Commons Clinic team have "phenomenal specialists" to deliver that care, and are well aware that those clinicians need the right environment, tools, and technology to do their job well - and really enjoy doing it. What are your thoughts? Does excellent patient treatment begin with how well doctors are treated? Last week, we shared a clip from our Zoom conversation with Jaymeson S. Stroud, MD, a radiation oncologist with Ackerman Cancer Center, about the "eloquence" of an AI-generated clinical note. This week, Dr. Stroud talks about being able to have a more "personal bedside manner" at the practice (and closing his charts by the end of the day...) If you practice medicine or run a healthcare organization, how has #ambientAI helped you? More quality patient time? More personal time? More patients? #oncology #specialtycare #clinicianwellbeing #patientexperience
