关于我们

Decriminalize Nature Philadelphia (DNP) is a grassroots movement dedicated to promoting the decriminalization of entheogenic substances, also known as natural psychedelics, within the city of Philadelphia. Inspired by the success of other decriminalization efforts across the United States, DNP aims to shift the narrative around psychedelic substances, emphasizing their potential for therapeutic and spiritual benefits. By reducing punitive measures and cultivating a culture of education and risk reduction, the organization hopes to empower individuals to explore these substances safely and responsibly. The history of psychedelic substances is complex and rooted in ancient traditions of Indigenous cultures around the world that used them for religious and healing purposes. With the advent of strict drug policies in the 20th century, psychedelics were criminalized and marginalized, stifling research and exploration of their potential benefits. As the decades passed, attitudes began to shift, and interest in the therapeutic uses of psychedelics resurged, leading to a revival in research and calls for decriminalization. The Decriminalize Nature movement emerged as a response to the growing recognition of the benefits of entheogenic substances. Originating in Oakland, California, in 2019, the movement spread across the United States, with over 20 cities and 2 states joining the effort to change drug policies. The movement aims to shift the focus away from punitive measures and towards risk reduction, education, and community support and integration. The primary goal of DNP is to decriminalize entheogenic substances such as psilocybin (found in magic mushrooms), ayahuasca, iboga, and peyote. This means that the possession, use, and cultivation of these substances would be considered the lowest law enforcement priority. DNP is a non-partisan organization. • Does anyone really think veteran care is going to improve under the incoming regime? I'd suggest reading Trump's former White House Chief of Staff John Kelly on how much he cares about veterans. Our government is about to turn into an increasingly warped carnival--best we learn how to depend more on ourselves and on each other at the community level.

More than 30,000 veterans and active-duty service members have taken their own lives since 9/11 (though some estimates suggest this number could be significantly higher, reaching upwards of 150,000), highlighting the critical need for innovative mental health solutions for this population. With traditional treatments often falling short, some veterans are turning to psychedelics for deeper healing. ??? This article shares the stories of veterans like Jesse Gould, who founded the Heroic Hearts Project after finding relief through ayahuasca, and insights from experts like Matt Zemon, MSc and Dr. Robert Koffman on the importance of psychedelic literacy among veterans, support, community, and the power of sharing stories. ?? Thank you to our veterans - we are thinking of you today. #VeteransDay #RemembranceDay #LestWeForget #VeteranMentalHealth #SupportOurTroops #VeteransSupport ??Read the full article: https://lnkd.in/emV2CuSs

  • Wouldn't it be nice if we could enjoy a nosh outside around center city without having it spoiled by toxic cigarette fumes (or diesel exhaust)? And how many people die premature deaths, with much suffering along the way, from related cancers? The government *knows* they're toxic and engineered to be addictive but as long as they're just killing people gradually instead of quickly, that's fine. Why should we be so dependent on these people for our health, especially with RFK--who is a sick joke, notwithstanding his perspective on psychedelics--apparently about to take over the FDA? Although LSD is not among the psychedelics we're working to get decriminalized, the natural psychedelics we are focused on have similar addiction-breaking potential.

We are still recruiting for our psilocybin for early-stage Alzheimer's research study ?? The study investigates whether psilocybin, a psychedelic substance found in some species of mushrooms, can help relieve depression in people with early Alzheimer’s disease when given in a safe and supportive setting. https://lnkd.in/e65MNggx?

In this episode, Joe interviews Dr. Peter Sj?stedt-Hughes: philosopher, lecturer at the University of Exeter, co-director of the Breaking Convention conference, and author who most recently co-edited Philosophy and Psychedelics: Frameworks for Exceptional Experience. ?? He discusses how the work of William James and an early psilocybin experience led him to an interest in philosophy and psychedelics, and he dives deep into several philosophical concepts: panpsychism, pantheism, ethical pluralism, teleology, process theology, Whitehead’s fallacy of misplaced concreteness, and more. He believes that science has lost touch with metaphysics – the branch of philosophy that examines the basic structure of reality – and that studying metaphysics will lead to more beneficial experiences with the non-ordinary: If you can understand and frame the experience, you’ll have a much better chance of being able to integrate its lessons. He discusses: ??The complexity of ethics and the need to ask more philosophical questions ??The book, Neo-Nihilism, which argued that there are no shared objective morals ??The West’s’ obsession with scientism and believing only what can be reducible to matter: Is science honest if it ignores the ineffable? ??The connections between philosophical frameworks and religion: Would studying comparative religion help us better understand each other? ..and more! ??Listen to the episode: https://lnkd.in/gYpECY4E
