More exciting news for the Radiant team, just days after securing $100M in Series C funding! The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has awarded Radiant $5M in support of its microreactor design for testing in the new Demonstration of Microreactor Experiments (DOME) test bed at Idaho National Laboratory. The funds will support the detailed engineering and planning process (DEEP), the next phase in advancing the design, construction, and testing of fueled reactor experiments. We’re proud to be part of Radiant’s mission to drive the future of nuclear energy and look forward to all the groundbreaking developments ahead! Read more here: https://lnkd.in/eMzzxZmv

Congratulations to the Radiant team on the successful close of their $100M Series C round! We’re thrilled to continue supporting you as an investor in this exciting journey and look forward to seeing the next milestones unfold.
We’re super excited to announce the close of our $100M Series C, led by DCVC! This investment comes on the heels of our passive cooldown demonstration, a critical milestone test of a full-scale, non-fueled reactor, and brings the company’s total venture funding to $160 million. The funds will primarily be used to complete our Kaleidos Development Unit (KDU), which we will fuel and operate at Idaho National Laboratory's Demonstration of Microreactor Experiments facility. The KDU is the same reactor design that will be mass manufactured and sold to customers. Radiant is excited to welcome new investors Felicis, Washington Harbour Partners LP, and Chevron Technology Ventures, and appreciates the continued support of Andreessen Horowitz, Union Square Ventures, Founders Fund, Decisive Point, McKinley Alaska Growth Capital, Boost VC, and Also Capital. We've got the team. We've got the hardware. And now we've got the money...it's time to build a reactor!! Last week, Decisive Point supported the NSIN - National Security Innovation Network, a component of Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) Propel Hawaii Accelerator Program's Demo Week, where cohort companies showcased groundbreaking technologies tailored to defense needs in the Indo-Pacific. A major highlight of Demo Week was the AFCEA International Pacific TechNet Conference. At the Indo-Pacific's premier defense technology event, the AFCEA Pacific TechNet Conference, cohort companies connected directly with senior military leaders, requirements specialists, and acquisition experts. This unique platform allowed teams to gain a deep understanding of the regional defense landscape and gather actionable insights while showcasing their solutions to potential military and civilian customers.

Congratulations to Radiant! What a remarkable time for the team as they celebrate the successful completion of the passive cooldown demonstration for the Kaleidos microreactor. This achievement marks a pivotal step toward delivering the world’s first factory-constructed microreactors to market, and we couldn’t be more proud to support them. “Consider recent disaster situations like Hurricanes Helene and Milton – if rapid and portable nuclear was available, powered relief could be CO2?free, carcinogen fume free, and avoid moving thousands of gallons of fuel every day. The recovery effort logistics can instead prioritize people with supplies and medical personnel,”?- Doug Bernauer, CEO and co-founder of Radiant. We're looking forward to Radiant's continued progress as they prepare for testing at the Idaho National Laboratory in 2026, marking the first new reactor design to operate in 50 years!
Still riding the high of our passive cooldown demonstration! Validating this crucial safety feature of our Kaleidos microreactor was no easy feat. Click the link for some additional thoughts from our team on this milestone, and our focus on testing at the National Reactor Innovation Center | NRIC DOME facility in 2026. https://lnkd.in/g7AU5Hr7

Exciting times at Firestorm! We’re thrilled to see the incredible advancements they’re making in defense technology. Their recent participation in the T-REX 24-2 event showcased the impressive capabilities of the Tempest drones, executing autonomous missions with remarkable precision and minimal human intervention. The coordinated flight of two Tempest drones—one for ISR and the other for loitering munition missions—marks a significant milestone for the team. We can’t wait to see what they’ll showcase at JIFX this November at Camp Roberts. Keep pushing the boundaries!
Firestorm has made remarkable strides in pushing the boundaries of defense technology, and we couldn’t be more excited about what’s on the horizon. We recently successfully participated in the T-REX 24-2 event, where our Tempest drones executed autonomous missions with minimal human intervention, from takeoff to landing. For the first time, we flew two Tempest drones in a coordinated mission—one conducting ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance) and the other performing a loitering munition mission. The T-REX event was instrumental in validating technical maturation, and our drones demonstrated their capability as modular, rapidly deployable systems that seamlessly integrate with joint assets. We also demonstrated our flexibility at Silent Swarm by integrating the external customer's payload into our aircraft systems rapidly and executing multi-agent missions, all while showcasing the adaptability of our systems at high altitudes. We're excited to return to JIFX this November at Camp Roberts, where we’ll be showcasing our cutting-edge aerial vehicles once again. Thank you to the entire Firestorm team for the tireless effort recently!

We're excited to share that Red Cat Holdings?(Nasdaq: RCAT) has secured $1.6 million in contracts following the acquisition of our portfolio company, FlightWave Aerospace (Fund I)! This funding will be used towards FlightWave's Edge 130 Blue drones, a UAS approved military-grade tricopter to the U.S. Customs & Border Protection (CBP). The contract was secured through Darley, a prominent distributor of equipment and technology for first responders and the military, and coordinated for procurement by the U.S. Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) on behalf of CBP. Since its acquisition in September 2024, FlightWave has been integrated into Red Cat’s suite of low-cost, portable unmanned reconnaissance and precision strike systems. Additionally, FlightWave’s recent $1.9 million TACFI award will further enhance the capabilities of the Edge 130 Blue. Exciting times ahead for FlightWave and Red Cat!?
