?? How Bias Almost Skewed a Client’s Marketing Agency Evaluation?? Last month, a client came to us with an anecdote around how they had been struggling to make sense of open-ended survey feedback about one of their key their marketing agencies. To the at first, the comments seemed to overwhelmingly point to one issue: poor campaign delivery timelines. But when they applied AI tools (specifically GPT models) to analyze the responses, the underlying insight emerged—while creative delivery delays were a concern, the bigger issue was a lack of communication during those delays. This thematic fixation on “timing” had almost caused the client to miss the root problem: expectations weren’t being managed effectively. The experience highlighted two things for us: 1?? How easily human biases, like anchoring and thematic fixation, can distort qualitative analysis. 2?? The importance of leveraging the new breed of AI tools to uncover the full picture and guide strategic decisions. In the end, our client was able to address the real issue, repair the relationship, and set clearer communication standards with the agency. #LeadershipLessons #MarketingEvaluation #AIForInsights
