The groundbreaking for our new building was amazing and we are so grateful for our community support. We have a tentative move-in date of July 2025!

It is with heavy hearts that we share the devastating news of the loss of one of our own, Officer Rudopho Arizola. Officer Arizola passed away while off duty on Monday, April 8, 2024. Officer Arizola was a dedicated law enforcement professional and a cherished member of our department. He served with unwavering dedication to his duties, and remarkable compassion, and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. As we mourn the loss of Officer Arizola, we extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and loved ones. Our thoughts and prayers are with them during this difficult time of grief and loss. We ask that their privacy be respected as they navigate through this challenging period. Details regarding memorial services will be communicated as they become available.

Sergeant Calvin Beatty and Captain Royce Gastineau recently graduated from the Leadership Command College, Class 96, of the LEMIT - Bill Blackwood Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas. The program, taught by a consortium of universities throughout Texas, provides law enforcement administrators and executives with the skills necessary to effectively manage police agencies and deliver a high level of service to their communities. Module I, focusing on leadership, is taught at the Center for Executive Development at Texas A&M University. Module II at Texas Woman’s University focuses on the political, legal, and social environment of law enforcement. The program concluded on February 23, 2024, with training in law enforcement administration during the third module, held at Sam Houston State University. Each of the three 3-week modules attended by participants in the program is taught by top national and international law enforcement experts. Topics include leadership, professional ethics and integrity, communication, and personnel management issues. The Command College curriculum also strives to keep participants on top of contemporary issues in Criminal Justice. #DedicatedToEXCELLENCE
