Dearborn Police Department Hosts Internationally Renowned Law Enforcement Trainer This morning, we had the privilege of hosting Paul Butler, an internationally acclaimed law enforcement trainer, for a dynamic and insightful training session titled “Leadership of a Lifetime.” The event brought together police officers from across Michigan for a half-day of professional development focused on enhancing leadership skills and fostering a culture of excellence within law enforcement. Mr. Butler’s class covered key aspects of effective leadership, including communication, decision-making under pressure, accountability, and building trust within the community. Officers learned practical strategies to strengthen teamwork, motivate their peers, and lead with integrity both in the field and within their departments. Chief Issa Shahin and the entire executive leadership team of the Dearborn Police Department were in attendance, underscoring the department’s commitment to ongoing professional development and leadership excellence. Events like this help ensure that officers are not only prepared to handle complex situations but also equipped to serve as positive role models and leaders within the community.
