When girls see women thriving in STEM, they believe they can too. Representation in STEM isn’t just about filling quotas—it’s about?showing what’s possible. For decades, women have contributed groundbreaking innovations in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, yet their stories often go untold. The impact? Too many young girls grow up thinking STEM is "not for them." ???Only 28% of the STEM workforce?in the U.S. is made up of women. ?? Women in engineering make up?less than 15%?of the field. ?? A lack of visible role models leads to fewer women pursuing and staying in STEM careers. At?Dear Women in STEM (DWIS),?we’re on a mission to change that narrative. We believe that?seeing women in STEM, hearing their voices, and amplifying their impact is key to inspiring the next generation. ?? When a young girl sees a woman leading an engineering project, she starts to picture herself doing the same. ?? When a woman enters a male-dominated industry and finds a mentor who understands her journey, she gains the confidence to keep going. ?? When we share our stories, we create a ripple effect that makes STEM more inclusive for future generations. ??Representation matters because it fuels possibilities. So today, we want to celebrate the incredible women making strides in STEM.?Who inspired you to pursue STEM?Drop their names in the comments and let’s give them the recognition they deserve! #WomenInSTEM #RepresentationMatters #STEMLeadership #DWIS #InspireInclusion

The Power of Community: Women Supporting Women in STEM ??? On International Women’s Day, we brought together an incredible group of women in STEM for an event that was nothing short of inspiring. It was a space where engineers and scientists from different industries and backgrounds came together—not just to celebrate, but to connect, uplift, and support one another. We shared our career journeys, exchanged advice, and had deep conversations about the challenges women face in the workplace—from navigating tough situations to advancing in our careers. The most powerful takeaway? Community matters. Having a strong network of women who understand your experiences, who root for your success, and who share insights on overcoming barriers is invaluable. This is why community is at the heart of Dear Women in STEM. To every woman in STEM: You’re not alone. You belong, and you are making an impact. Let’s continue building spaces where we can thrive, learn, and lift each other up. Thanks to the team for making this happen: Lilian Judy Adeyemi , Esther Hamidou Tabayi- M.S.
