Today's episode is one of my most favorite conversations I've ever had on the podcast...and for SO MANY REASONS!? ? 1???#funfact: Today's guest,?Katie Sturino, Co-Founder of?Megababe used to pitch her clients to me back in the day when I owned my first company, Bump Club and Beyond and she was a PR Maven. ? 2???#funfact:?Katie Sturino?DEFINITELY sent?Megababe?for Bump Club gift bags. (Likely when she was still fulfilling out of her parent's garage...you'll have to tune in to hear more on that...)? 3???#funfact: Katie was my last?#bucketlist?guest...now I have to create a new list!? ? But, do you want to know why today's conversation was so amazing? Because?Katie Sturino?shows up as herself EVERY SINGLE DAY. She walks the walk and talks the talk. She is Megababe, and she speaks with such authority, conviction, and confidence. ? ? Who wouldn't want to buy a product from a brand backed by those pillars? ? ? Not to mention, Katie and her co-founders created a company that's taken some of the biggest, but least talked about problems, and has put them center stage. ? ? Boob sweat? They have a product for that.? Thigh chafing? That too. ? Hemorrhoids? As I told Katie---I wish I knew her back when I owned Bump Club. IYKYK.? ? But not only is Katie a founder, she is a body confidence influencer. ? ? Through her body acceptance work, Katie empowers people of all sizes to find their confidence and celebrate their style. In 2024, when Katie called out?WeightWatchers?for their perpetuation of?#DietCulture, she was invited to join?Oprah Winfrey?on stage to unpack that topic.? ? As I told Katie: She is a true North Star for all women, and especially to our teenage girls. Katie is someone we all need to be looking up to when it comes to accepting and loving ourselves. ? ? I cannot wait for you to hear our conversation. Listen here: https://lnkd.in/gfDgYVPn ? Thank you for listening, thank you for being here... let me know what you think!? ? xx,?Lindsay, Host of?Dear FoundHer...

You probably know her from Netflix’s My Unorthodox Life, but @juliahaart is so much more than what you’ve seen on TV. Julia and I share a passion for helping other women---and that's a common thread you'll see pulled throughout today's conversation on Dear FoundHer. ? ? She is an accomplished self made businesswoman, entrepreneur, best-selling author—with a passion to pave the way and help lift other women up along the way. ? ? Julia was raised in an Ultra-Orthodox Jewish community. At age 42 she fled, changed her name, and without any formal education or background in fashion launched her career as a designer with her namesake shoe collection. When you listen to our conversation, you’ll hear just how scrappy she was to secure the funding to make this venture happen. ? In the years that followed, she was named creative director of La Perla and would become co-owner and CEO of Elite World Group and one of the most influential people in fashion. In 2021, Julia and her NETFLIX hit series "My Unorthodox Life", which streams in over 190 countries, took the world by storm. ? Above all else, Julia applies her experience and platform to be a force for positive change in the world and supporting women who have dedicated their lives to building a better future. Fun fact about me: I am obsessed with the Olympics. I used to have a co-worker at Hearst who sat next to me and we would dress up and celebrate the Olympics every time the games were taking place. But it's not just the Olympic games; it's the Olympic values and what the games signify. The three core values of Olympians are excellence, friendship, and respect. ? ? Amplifying these values and the female Olympians and Paralympians who exercise them is why Jamie Mittelman founded Flame Bearers, the first media company dedicated to sharing the stories of women Olympians and Paralympians. ? ? Jamie Mittelman is on a mission to make sure that people of all ages are inspired by women athletes who look and sound like them. A deep believer in how the power of stories can change lives, Jamie Mittelman is committed to elevating as many diverse voices as possible within the world of elite women’s sports.? As anyone who has listen to my podcast knows, I believe your brand’s community is your greatest asset. ?
