Boat deal complete! Read how it went down (and how it wasn't possible before DealNow)??
SOLD - 2022 Malibu 24MXZ on Halloween night at 8:31pm MDT. ?? Here's how I slid in a spooky $133k sale in between my trick-o-treating dad duties: The answer is DealNow - The easiest way to transact any vehicle, anytime. The transporter time fluctuated a little but that's normal with these types of services, so the transaction tools you use need to be flexible. If we were using any other service that required a middleman or normal banking hours to complete the sale, the transporter would've had to get a hotel and wait to complete the pickup in the morning. I just finished taking the little kiddos around the neighborhood for some trick-o-treating fun and got a text that the transporter would be at my house in 30 min. My wife and I have eight kids so efficiency is a key ingredient to everything we do. In between halloween fun and getting little kids in bed, I was able to sneak out and greet the driver, speak to the buyer on the phone briefly, and watch funds instantly cha-ching into my account. Once the transporter completed his checkout, hooked up the boat, and notified the buyer by phone, the buyer clicked "Transfer" and the funds were physically and legally in my account in that very second. Regarding my boat sale. I received a call from the transporter that he'll get to my house at 7pm tonight. Here's what makes this interesting.... Random pickup times is very common in transport due to unforeseen events (traffic, previous drop off delays, etc). This is one of the reasons long distance private-party sales are very difficult. When to transfer ownership and funds can be tricky based on when the car (or boat) can be picked up. Unless the seller can get guaranteed payment on the spot....chances are, the vehicle isn't going anywhere. Especially with a higher dollar deal. This is what makes people so anxious with the old way of selling privately. With DealNow, it doesn't matter if the transporter shows up early, late, or on a holiday......we can close the sale and transfer any amount of money 24/7/365. As a seller, I also know that the "buyers funds are ready". I can't see his balance, but I know he has enough for my boat....which is all that matters. Once the buyer get's confirmation from the shipper, he can finalize this deal in two seconds. I'm a happy seller, and he can go back to whatever he was doing knowing he's a new boat owner and it's being delivered to his driveway. The private-sale has never known such peace of mind.
