    #EcommerceTips How to encourage customers to purchase the product you want to sell? The price of a specific product may be perceived differently depending on the offers it is compared to. If we are selling something for 10$, the price will be perceived differently if: - it’s the only available offer, or - it’s one of many available offers in the price range of 10-50$ (it’s a special offer! only 10$!), or - other products cost between 2-10$ (it’s a rip-off! No one will pay that much!) Recently, I have painted my room and needed a paint roller. Not knowing what price to expect, I went to a nearby shop. There were three sets of paint rollers on offer: - the cheapest set for 12$ - the average set for 20$ - the most expensive one, with a special handle, for 60$ Instinctively, I didn’t pick the cheapest one, without even checking it out, since I doubted its quality. The premium option wasn’t really needed to paint the room, so I was left with the paint roll set for 20$. With a comparison such as this - two points of reference - I considered my choice as entirely reasonable, and I didn’t feel the need to search for the product in other shops. Other customers who were not aware of the prices for a paint roller would have probably done the same. It is also possible that the choice would remain the same if the price was higher, e.g. 30$. This would still seem to be a much cheaper option than the most expensive variant, and as such, it would be considered a reasonable option. So, what’s the takeaway from this situation? If our customer does not have any requirements specified and does not know the price range, he or she will consider the price range that is given, and will select the mid-range product [1]. As a seller, you can adapt the price range in a way that would encourage the customer to purchase selected products and maximize your profits. If the product you want to sell is currently the most expensive one in your offer, it is worth adding another, very expensive option, which will reposition the “magic solution”, drawing customer attention to the promoted product. ?     We came back from E-commerce Berlin Expo full of positive energy. The fair has proven to be the perfect ground for establishing new partnerships and presenting our solution to the wider European e-commerce community ?? . It was a pleasure to talk to fellow companies working towards a better environment for online trade ?? , and many of the solutions we saw have a lot of potential.
