Many thanks to Hannan Construction LLC for taking time out of their day to meet with the team from DDG Architecture and Patricia Richey with White Canvas Studio. Hannan Construction continues to be a great General Contractor partner and we were excited to present our design approach, featured works, and our vision of creating new strategic partnerships. Thank you Dan Weis, Mark Hannan, and the Hannan Construction Team!

Pocket Neighborhoods. Transitional Housing. Housing Attainability. These were just a few of the important topics covered during the Cherokee Regional Housing Forum hosted by the City of Woodstock, Georgia last week. A big thank you to Tracy Albers, Mayor Michael Caldwell, Will Johnston with MicroLife Institute, Inc. , and many others for their leadership and foresight in addressing the need for a new approach to housing in our community. Explore the concept of "Less Space, More Life" further by visiting Microlife Institute at https://lnkd.in/gekr4xTH. As principal and owner of DDG Architecture, I can't say enough about the support and effort that the City of Woodstock, Georgia puts in to make our community and small businesses thrive. Our team was excited to join other business owners in the area to discuss the future growth and improvement of the HWY 92 corridor. Staff from Lord Aeck Sargent put together a great presentation and there was some insightful feedback ranging from the easing of permitting processes to using natural features as a focused destination for families and businesses. Thanks to Tracy Albers and many others at the city for promoting and actively listening to ideas from the community.

Got a change of scenery for this month's "CEO Bro" lunch at the Battery at Truist Park. Kurt Dupuis, CFP?, CIMA? with Root Wealth Management and myself with DDG Architecture had a great time and discussed newest trends in our respective industries, a new approach to multimedia marketing, and of course - the start of college football. ??

DDG Architecture celebrated with our friend and colleague, Kelsey LaPaglia on her recent promotion to Vice President, Workplace Planning & Strategy at JLL! It's a testament to her hard work and dedication. Cheers to new adventures!

Our team at DDG Architecture has always had a great relationship with Kimley-Horn and have had the pleasure of working with some of their best civil engineers and landscape architects. I spent some time with one of them from their Alpharetta, GA office this week, my friend Teagan Frank. Originally from Fairhope, Alabama and an Alabama graduate, Teagan and I shared a great meal at Brookwood Grill and discussed trends in our industry, site planning, and soccer. We look forward to working with her and the group at Kimley-Horn in the future. Worth noting: the salads at Brookwood Grill in Roswell, GA are really big - bring your appetite. ??

One of the perks of my profession is getting an opportunity to meet and learn about what our next generation of architects looks like. To me, architecture is as much about mentorship and education as it is about design. That said, I had the opportunity to converse with a new M. Arch graduate from Georgia Tech yesterday, Christopher McCarthy. With a background in printmaking, ceramics, carpentry, substrate production processes, and a Master's degree in architecture, Christopher is a great addition to our design community here in the Atlanta area. If anyone is looking for a quality individual to fill an entry-level position in your firm, I recommend taking a look at Chris and his resume. portfolio: cmmcc.com??? email: [email protected]?
