August is a very slow month, with everyone going on vacation, so not much happens, right?... That's certainly not the case in the DMV (DC-Maryland-Virginia) area! Check out all these awesome events that took place in just the last two weeks of "slow" August: * Thanks to DC Tech & Venture Coalition (DCTAV), Ashtan Moore, and his awesome team from Never Look Better for an event that gave the community so many great vibes. And congrats to Skye Lawrence on vastly exceeding her fundraising goals for Ampere, you are a true inspiration for the community! * CrowdFuel, with the generous support of Arlington Economic Development, hosted their Startup Founder Happy Hour. Big thanks to Ian Y. Garrett for making this event happen! Looking forward to the next one. * DC Startup Week hosted a Happy Hour event on a gorgeous rooftop provided by Industrious and gathered a really cool crowd. Huge thanks to Seema Alexander and Rachel Koretsky for their immense work on DC Startup Week events!
