This past Sunday, DCNOMA members were honored to attend the annual Black Women in Architecture Brunch, held in Washington, D.C., at the OTJ Architects office. We were proud to serve as a Silver Sponsor for this empowering event. Supporting gatherings like these is essential to DCNOMA’s mission of uplifting minority architects, particularly women of color. These events foster connection, mentorship, and collaboration, while tackling the unique challenges Black women face in the architecture profession. By sponsoring, we directly contribute to impactful initiatives such as the BWA Network and the Desiree Cooper ARE Scholarship—an honor our Executive Vice President, Telicious Robinson, Assoc. AIA, NOMA FitWel Ambassador, received last year. We’re excited to continue sponsoring events that champion equity and inclusion in the field and look forward to making even greater strides. Don’t forget to join us tomorrow for the Unity in Design: Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration at the Octagon, where we will continue to celebrate and support diversity in architecture and design! #DCNOMA #BWAbrunch #BlackWomenInArchitecture #SupportDiversity #WomenInArchitecture #UnityInDesign #HispanicHeritageMonth #BuildingTheFuture
