A powerful storm system is sweeping through the East Coast, bringing tornadoes, damaging winds, and flash flooding?from Florida to New York. Several states are already under Tornado Watches, with emergency officials urging residents to stay alert. Unlike the recent winter storm, this system is bringing fast-moving severe thunderstorms?that could cause widespread power outages and hazardous conditions. Now is the time to review your emergency plan?and take necessary precautions: ??Have multiple ways to receive weather alerts ??Identify a safe shelter location in case of a tornado ??Avoid flooded roads—turn around, don’t drown ??Check in on neighbors, especially those in vulnerable areas DCMC Partners stands ready to support communities before, during, and after the storm. Let’s work together to stay informed and prepared. #DCMCParnters #1LEMOINE #SevereWeather #StormPreparedness #CrisisResponse #EmergencyManagement Radar image source: The Weather Channel, showing forecasted conditions for today at 11:11 AM.

Employee Spotlight: Donna McGuire??? ?? Background & Journey to Disaster Recovery With 35 years in education?as a teacher, principal, and assistant superintendent in Texas, Donna McGuire never expected to transition into disaster recovery. But after a recommendation from her uncle and witnessing the devastation of Hurricane Harvey in 2017, she took the leap. Her expertise in public relations, funding management, and training?made her a natural fit for helping communities rebuild. ?? Role & Impact at DCMC Partners Now a Project Recovery Manager?at DCMC, Donna applies her background in education to disaster recovery, helping schools and communities navigate the complex world of FEMA funding and project closeouts. One of her most rewarding experiences was in Puerto Rico, where she trained site inspectors—many with no prior experience—to conduct thorough assessments, directly improving recovery operations. She also takes pride in her work assisting charter schools in Lake Charles, Louisiana, ensuring they efficiently close out projects and maximize funding. ?? Teamwork & Challenges The fast-paced, ever-changing nature of disaster recovery keeps Donna on her toes, but she thrives on flexibility, problem-solving, and collaboration. Transitioning from FEMA-funded projects to state-side work has been a learning curve, but she embraces the challenge. A key part of her success? Strong relationships with her colleagues?whom she considers not just coworkers, but true friends. ?? Life Beyond Work Outside of disaster recovery, Donna enjoys golfing, traveling, and “glamping” with friends in their RV.?She and her husband, Tony, love fishing, sitting by the fire pit, and spending time with their children and grandkids. Their English Cocker Spaniel, Kali, is never far from their side. ?? Why DCMC? Whether it’s through teamwork in the field or encouragement during personal milestones, she knows she’s part of a team that truly looks out for one another. Donna, your dedication, resilience, and heart make a lasting impact on both our team and the communities we serve. We are so grateful to have you at DCMC!??? #DCMCPartners #1LEMOINE #EmployeeSpotlight
