Rather than focusing on political ideologies, we will engage in restorative justice practices aimed at fostering healing and understanding within our communities. Join Us for a Restorative Parenting Conversation: Just What The Surgeon General Ordered Date: October 22, 2024 Time: 12:00 - 1:00 PM EST Location: Online (Zoom link provided upon registration) In light of the U.S. Surgeon General’s Advisory on the Mental Health and Well-Being of Parents (August 2024), we recognize the critical link between parental well-being and child outcomes. This advisory serves as an urgent call to action for nurturing connections among parents and caregivers. During this session, we will explore the challenges of parenting and caregiving and discuss how Restorative Justice Practices (RJPs) can empower us to better support ourselves and our children. Facilitators: Debra Budiani-Saberi: Medical anthropologist, health activist, and mindfulness facilitator with a focus on nonviolent communication and social justice. Sal Corbin: Expert in conflict mediation and restorative justice, with a background in psychology and workforce development.
