With insightful updates from industry experts, U.S. Customs Headquarters, and Congressional staffers, we gained invaluable insights into trade actions and policies that will shape the upcoming Congressional session. Key Highlights: ? Trade Update from Washington: Megan Costello and Mattie Amagai provided an in-depth look at the latest developments and anticipated changes in import/export regulations for 2025. ? Conversation with CBP: Brad Slutsky and Dr. George Bogden from U.S. Customs discussed how FTZs will evolve in 2025, ensuring smooth operations and security. ? FTZ Board Update: Liz Whiteman from the Foreign-Trade Zones Board gave us a sneak peek into what the U.S. FTZ Board has in store for the future of FTZs. ? State of U.S. Trade Policy in 2025: Melissa Irmen and James Grogan explored the most pressing trade developments that will impact our businesses moving forward. ? Advocacy Strategies: We learned key takeaways on how best to talk to Congressional staff about FTZ challenges, ensuring our messages are impactful. In the final stretch, we had the chance to meet with Congressional offices, advocating for FTZ support, both nationally and locally.
