Tomorrow - The New Americans Art Exhibit Open House Reception will be taking place at the Dayton Metro Library Main Campus! This will be held in the Community Room on the 2nd floor from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Stop by for musical and dance performances and refreshments! This exhibit runs from November 1st through December 31st and is FREE!

The Belle Haven Unified Chorus performed at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center in Cincinnati! ?? Established in 2019 and led by Director Steven Reeves, the Belle Haven Unified Chorus performs at school assemblies, concerts and other community events. Their repertoire varies from standard treble choir literature to modern and newly composed contemporary compositions. How cool!

SATURDAY is Success Looks Like Me - Season 2??! This year's panelists include: Steve Saucer, Pastor of Restoration Church Stevin Crane, Musician Bruce Moxley Jr., Pastor of Dominion Ministries International Dr. Charles Woods, Sports Medicine Doctor Willis Blackshear, State Representative LaVar Glover, former NFL player Join DPS Athletics on November 9th at 11 AM at Thurgood Marshall to honor boys and men in sports and their success!

Stivers comes out on top! ?? Stivers won 1st place in the cheer category and was the Grand Champion, which means they had the highest score of all the teams that competed - no matter the category. The competition was hosted by the Black American Cheer Association and was a mixture of all-star teams, dance teams, and cheer teams. Nyla Price won the solo category and Jazavion White won the Best Jump Award! Congrats! ??

Belmont's Marching Band made it on NBC Nightly News! ???? The story is about using music to relax and unite people heading to the polls. You can see the Mighty Marching Bison at 1:39 seconds! https://lnkd.in/gf3qMVaU

Ms. Hammaker's Stress Relief Lunch Group made their own stress balls at Wright Brothers! Students are learning how to de-stress by creating their own stress balls and decorating them. Other stress-relieving activities include artwork, listening to relaxing music, guided meditation and yoga!

Students across the district got to participate in a Mock Election! ??? Students were able to learn about the voting process, what it's like to go to the polls and how their voice can make an impact. We love seeing everyone participate at each grade level!

Students in Belmont's Project Lead the Way class created haunted houses! ?? Students had to come up with their plans and use the engineering concepts they learned to draw the layout before the construction of the mini houses. Spooky! ??
