Ugliest chair in Montgomery County?! ?? Two teachers won new chairs from Crayons to Classrooms after submitting a photo of their desk chairs. Congrats to Danny Rodriguez at Wogaman and Victoria Sproesser at Cleveland on your MUCH nicer desk chairs! ??

Wright Brothers students recently learned about internet safety and how important it is to protect their information. Thanks to the presenters from the Montgomery County Prosecutor's Office in the Victim Advocate Division for teaching our students an important lesson!

Superintendent's Student Senate is back! ?? Their first meeting was held at the Premier Health building where they heard from Dr. Lawrence and some of the Premier Health team. We are looking forward to another year of engagement with these students!

High School Showcase Week has come to an end! ?? Our 8th grade students traveled to our high schools to experience what the schools offer. Students participated in hands-on activities, pep rallies, demonstrations, and more! What a great experience for our future freshmen to see what DPS has to offer!

As a reminder, students do not have school next week, November 25th-29th. The District is closed on Thursday, November 28th and Friday, November 29th in observance of Thanksgiving. Students will return to school on Monday, December 2nd.

6 Stivers Orchestra Violinists were asked to perform with The Piano Guys ???? These students were invited to perform at the Schuster Center for a SOLD OUT crowd! They performed "Beethoven's 5 Secrets", which includes musical themes from Beethoven, Bach, Mozart, and One Republic. The students received a standing ovation from the 2,300-seat audience??

Ornament sales are still happening! ?????? Our Project Life - Belmont interns are making ornaments for the holiday season. Project Life is a transition program for students with special needs that helps them learn life skills and employability skills. There are several different designs to choose from! Winter Coat Collection! ???? DPS is collecting new and unworn scarves, hats, gloves, and coats of any size for students in need! Last year was a huge success - we would love to double the donations. Both Belmont and Dunbar's bands performed during the Wilberforce Homecoming parades! ?? This is a great representation of the growth of our band programs at DPS. Way to go! ??
