Dayton BOMA members gathered at Heapy in March for a Breakfast & Learn Session to hear more about why energy costs are going up in our area. In a region with historically low utility rates, SW Ohio experienced two years of double-digit percent increases in commercial customer electricity charges.?The presentation also shared methods to control utility costs through several innovative?strategies. ? We'd like to thank Ryan Hoffman, Senior Principal with HEAPY and Maha Kashani, Senior Sales Manager?with IGS Energy for sharing their knowledge on this topic.

Our March membership luncheon was held at the Dayton Convention Center where we enjoyed lunch and a tour of the renovated facility. We'd like to thank Jonathan Boeckling, Project Executive with Messer and Tommy Neth, Facilities Engineer at the Convention Center, for their time.

BOMA members gathered at the Oregon Express in the Oregon District in February for an After Hours Event. What a great way to end our work day! Our thanks to Holley Freeman and ServiceMaster by Angler for sponsoring this event. We appreciate your support!

BOMA International Year in Review

We'd like to thank the Kettering Fairmont Acapella Choir for entertaining us at our holiday luncheon in December. What an amazing group of young adult singers. In December we also installed our 2025 Dayton BOMA Board of Directors. We spent our time together this month helping the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program. Dayton BOMA members are always willing to lend a helping hand. In 2023 the Toys for Tots program distributed 7,180 toys to over 2,183 children in Montgomery and Greene Counties. They expect to exceed those numbers in 2024. Dayton BOMA members have been supporting the Toys for Tots program for 20+ years now.

This year’s Dayton BOMA trade show was held in October at the Presidential Banquet Center in Kettering.?What a great opportunity for our Principal members to get a better understanding of what our Associate members have to offer. This event is about making connections and building relationships. We’d like to thank our Associates for taking the time to set up a table and our Principal members for their time as well.??

Jeff Lentz with Aegis Protective Services joined us in September to help us brush up on our CPR skills and AED training.?Jeff has been a Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED instructor for over 10 years.?Jeff, we appreciate you taking the time to educate us on these important lifesaving skills.
