Congrats to Jessica Peyton Roberts on being appointed by Governor Ferguson to the Washington Legislative Ethics Board! This 8-member board plays a vital role in enforcing state ethics laws and rules for members and employees of the WA Legislature. The board reviews complaints of unethical conduct, applies ethics law, and issues formal opinions on whether such conduct needs to be addressed. We’re excited to see the great work she’ll do in this role!

EPR compliance alert: Oregon’s EPR law requires “producers” to register with the Circular Action Alliance and to report data regarding “covered products” sold into the state by March 31st. Depending on specific situations, the “producer” under the law may be the manufacturer of a product, the owner of the brand, or the first importer into the state. The law covers a wide variety of packaging, including plastic, metal, cardboard, paper, food serivceware (paper plates, cups), secondary and tertiary packaging, and more. More compliance deadlines are approaching for CA, CO, ME, NJ, and MN. Please reach out to Olivier Jamin with questions.?
