The proposed West Side Development is an exciting new 300-acre, transit-oriented entertainment district in West Greeley. This groundbreaking project is envisioned as a vibrant mixed-use community with an arena (home to the Colorado Eagles and new opportunities for youth sports), a world-class water park, hotel, housing, and more. We are excited to be working to bring this to northern Colorado.?#GreeleyProud?

Exciting news for the future of our downtown Denver community.
Bright spots are appearing in a challenged office market. Bisnow outlines the latest of these, which include last week's passage of Ballot Measure 6A (a key step in renewing and expanding the Downtown Denver Development Authority) and signs headed in the right direction for office leasing (as described by Amy Aldridge with Tributary Real Estate).

This past week, Kit Frey from our office led an engaging panel discussion on cohousing in the modern era. Cohousing, at its heart, is an intentional, self-governing, and cooperative community model where residents live in private homes clustered around shared spaces. The panel featured Charlie Lyon, a community member of Highline Crossing Cohousing, Ana Guia, a resident at X Denver, and in-house experts Genesis Mateo and AJ Ellis, all of whom have lived in diverse co-living environments. Their unique perspectives and passion for community living sparked a vibrant and thoughtful dialogue. We closed the discussion by revisiting the words of our friend Rick Griffith of MATTER, whose dialogue on design ethics continues to inspire us: “Need less and have it all.”

The project was recognized with four awards: National Merit Award in the Research Category, Best of Category Award for Research, Best Design/Build Engineering Award, and Enlightened Design/Build Owner Award. The project was also one of three to be nominated for the DBIA Project of the Year Award. Congratulations to everyone who contributed to this exciting achievement!

A group of Davis staff members had the great honor of volunteering for a local Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver build. It was a pleasure to work with such a wonderful organization and contribute to community members' dreams of owning a home.

At the end of October, the University of New Mexico Hospital marked a significant milestone with the groundbreaking of its new Children’s Psychiatric Center. This transformative renovation and expansion, a partnership with McCLAIN-YU Architecture, is designed to broaden access to crucial psychiatric and behavioral health services for children across New Mexico. We are honored to play a small but meaningful role in this important social issue.

Well, it’s Halloween, and in typical Davis Partnership fashion, things got weird. Members of our staff dressed up as “The Many Faces of Ann H. Adams.” Anns included: Baking Ann, FACHA Ann, Partner Ann, Black Belt Ann, and of course, the OG herself. Is this healthy? We’ll let you be the judge.?

Looking for a fun way to get to know and connect with your teammates better? As part of our N.A.A.M. (Not An Annual Meeting), we challenged everyone to identify the 6th grade version of their teammates in a game we called “Who am I?” It could also have been called “That didn’t age well” or “What was I thinking wearing that?”.

Along with our design partner from MAD Architects (jon kontuly), Karen Hailey, Jeff Stoecklein, and Tim Gordon will be presenting One River North at this week’s CSI 2024 BUILD Denver: RESI-bility Multi-Functional Multi-Family. Their panel will explore the unique design challenges, including the logistics of integrating nature into a high‐density urban environment, and share insights into the construction techniques that brought the vision to life, seamlessly blending architecture, nature, and community. We hope to see you there.
