Capital Area Food Bank's new 45,000 SF facility, with expanded warehouse and office space, greatly increases their capacity, efficiency, and community engagement, enabling them to better serve NoVA's food-insecure residents. National Landing Center's amenity space design enhances the office building experience for its tenants, creating a sophisticated, warm, hospitality feel into a cohesive luxurious atmosphere. Unity Homes at Ballston sets a new standard for inclusive urban living as a 100% affordable housing, mixed-use development with 144 units, a modernized 100+ person church sanctuary space for the ?????????????? ???????????? ?????????????????? ????????????, and a daycare facility operated by ???????????????? ????????????, supporting approximately 90 children, alongside several amenity spaces that empower individuals and families to thrive in a vibrant community. We are thrilled to share that the Vista at Fairfax Corner has won the 2024 NVBIA Great American Living Award of Merit for Best Design & Architecture in High-Rise Multi-Family! The Vista's architectural features, namely the three-level glazed corner facade and deep canopy, create a balanced and cohesive exterior design. Congratulations to Peterson Companies and the project team for their excellent work in delivering what we always envisioned the Vista would be: an award-winning project!

Demolition has begun on the former Harris Teeter to pave the way for Phase 2 of our UrbA master plan! Phase 2 will bring a 0.6-acre public park, and a 197-unit apartment building to the Ballston neighborhood, while the former Harris Teeter site will temporarily be used as surface parking, with plans to evolve into a vibrant mixed-use tower by 2027! ? Yesterday’s ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Capital Area Food Bank located in Lorton, VA, was both an incredibly proud and humbling experience for our DCS design team.?Do you know 1 in 3 families earning $120K still struggle to put food on the table??In Northern Virginia, over 900,000 people face food insecurity, with nearly 75,000 residents living in Fairfax County alone.?And the number of food insecure individuals have doubled since COVID.? ? We are honored to have been entrusted with the design of the new warehouse distribution center along with expanded staff and volunteer offices. The new 45,000 SF facility is 4 times the size of the original center, greatly increasing CAFB's capacity, efficiency, and community engagement, enabling them to better serve food-insecure residents. ? Yesterday’s esteemed speakers included Congressman Gerry Connolly, Chairman Jeff McKay, Bill Conway, Dr. Anne Kress, and Rahsaan Bernard.?We would like to recognize all donors, volunteers and dedicated CAFB staff who made this project possible, and who continue to serve our communities every day.?Lastly, thank you to MGAC, James G.
