Women Leading Bird Conservation Efforts in Kim Son! ?? WildAct recently held an inspiring workshop in Kim Son, Ninh Binh, bringing together 50 Women’s Union representatives from Yen Mo and Kim Son districts, along with local leaders. The workshop aimed to equip these women with essential knowledge about migratory bird conservation, particularly the Spoon-billed Sandpiper, along with vital skills in leadership, project management, and community engagement. Two outstanding conservation initiatives emerged from this session: one to raise awareness among hunters and wildlife traders, and another to protect migratory bird habitats through waste management activities like trash collection and sorting. Additionally, two selected groups will soon gain hands-on experience at the AAF Bear Rescue Center in Tam Dao. WildAct is thrilled to support these women-led initiatives and looks forward to a brighter future for nature conservation! ?? Special thanks to our donor Daughters for Earth for supporting this initiative! #WildAct #WomenInConservation #NatureProtection #KimSon #NinhBinh #MigratoryBirds #EmpoweringWomen #SustainableFuture

In a world where the lines between human and machine and between physical and virtual spaces are starting to blur, the question of what it means to be human feels more real than ever. Casey Rogers?of Daughters for Earth recently joined a vibrant new community?#bigBANG?gatherings, exploring this very question in the context of how nature, in all its wisdom, continues to be one of our greatest teachers. #Hummingbirdeffect #humanconnection #nature

I am excited to share that Jody Allen, my friend and co-founder at Daughters for earth, and Hannah Jones of @EarthshotPrize announced our partnership at Earthshot week that’s currently taking place in Cape Town, South Africa. Together, we aim to channel more energy, attention, and support towards women-led actions that are protecting the Earth. ‘Climate is the least funded of all women-led initiatives in the world and climate impacts everyone, everywhere – all of us, all the time. We need to support women everywhere – they are on the frontlines, in their communities,” shared Jody in her remarks. She continued and said ‘We need to trust the people in the field doing the work and get out of their way - let them work as hard as they can in their communities. They are the ones with their eyes on the ground; their hearts are open; their arms are welcoming.’ I am truly honored to work with Jody, collaborate with Hannah and The Earthshot prize team, to put more support and energy behind women’s led actions to address Climate Change and Biodiversity loss. In commitment to collaboration and unity with women and Mother Earth we stand. Special thanks to the wonderful teams @daughters4earth

Can COP16 end our siloed approach to climate, nature and food systems action? As the UN Biodiversity conference?#COP16?begins in Cali, Colombia, global leaders, activists, and communities unite to tackle the interconnected crises of nature loss and climate change. But this time – the world has a historic opportunity to begin a new era of integrated action on nature and climate: ??? With Brazil and Colombia at the helm, both COP16 and COP30 take place against the backdrop of the most biodiverse region on Earth ??Both Brazil and Colombia are already leading the way on protecting and restoring nature – showing us rapid transformation is possible ??With global momentum on integrating nature and food into climate on the rise, Latin American leadership can set an example for the world to follow. Will COP16 deliver action to protect the people and places we love? #ProtectWhatWeLove?#COP16?#Biodiversity?#ClimateAction

You may have wondered why we at Daughters for Earth have chosen the hummingbird as our symbol. Well, hummingbirds embody beauty, grace, love, hope, and harmony with nature across so many cultures. And in a world burdened by countless worries, from wars to natural disasters, we continue to seek, magnify, and believe in the ultimate triumph of hope. #TheHummingbirdEffect
