We're excited to welcome Project Engineers, Presleigh Adams, Ankit Dahiya, and Yugen Maharjan, to our #Dallas team! As Project Engineers, they assist senior engineers in the execution of structural engineering design, including analysis, design, detailing, and development of plans and specifications, as well as collaborating with clients, contractors, and team members to coordinate designs and understand project goals. Presleigh Adams is a recent graduate of Oklahoma State University. She obtained a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering with a concentration in Structures, in addition to a minor in Architectural Studies: Design. In her free time, she enjoys reading, running, and cooking for friends and family. Ankit Dahiya,E.I.T acquired a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering with a minor in Management from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in India. In December, he completed his Master of Science in Civil Engineering degree with a focus in Structural Engineering from Purdue University. Ankit enjoys watching and playing soccer, and hiking. Yugen Maharjan, E.I.T. is originally from Nepal and holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree from Tribhuvan University, and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering degree with a concentration in Structures from Purdue University. With four years of experience in the field, he has developed expertise in structural engineering, complemented by a strong background in land development. Yugen is an avid soccer fan, and loves exploring and trekking, having completed high-altitude treks to Mardi Himal and Gosaikunda. Welcome to the team, Presleigh, Ankit, and Yugen!

Please join us in welcoming Senior Project Manager, Mehdi Najarian, Ph.D., P.E., to our #SanAntonio team! He has over 15 years of experience designing a variety of structures and teaching engineering, design, and technology classes. Mehdi’s design portfolio includes bridges, hotels and casinos, industrial buildings, parking garages, hospitals, libraries, medical offices, and community centers. He is a registered Professional Engineer in multiple states and holds a Ph.D. in structural engineering from the The University of Texas at San Antonio. Mehdi serves as a professor at UT-San Antonio during the summer, teaching undergraduate courses of design of steel and reinforced concrete structures and has published multiple articles in peer-reviewed journals. He is a member of Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (EERI) and has a keen interest in seismic design and assessment of structural systems. Mehdi spends his free time with his family and likes to watch movies, particularly history-based movies. Welcome to Datum, Mehdi, we’re glad you’re here!

We’re excited to welcome Ray Williams and Patricio Gonzalez to our #Chicago and #Dallas teams! Ray joins us with over 20 years of experience in structural design and obtained an Associate's Degree in Building and Civil Engineering from the University of Belize. As a Senior Revit Technician, he utilizes his knowledge of high-rise, post-tensioned design, substantial earth/water retention, and various construction types, materials and methods to provide non-standard solutions for Datum’s clients. In his free time, Ray enjoys spending time camping, hiking and fishing. As a Structural Technician, Patricio assists with the creation of schematic designs and detailed construction documents in Revit, ensuring compliance with structural and drafting standards. He acquired a Bachelor of Science in University Studies from The University of Texas at Arlington and recently obtained an Associate's Degree of Science in Computer-Aided Design and Drafting from Dallas College. Patricio enjoys volunteering within the community, backpacking, wood carving, hand drawing and painting. Welcome to the team, Ray and Patricio!

This past Saturday, we had the privilege of joining the Dallas A/E/C community at Klyde Warren Park for the Form Follows Fitness 5k. All proceeds benefited the Architecture and Design Exchange, an incredible organization dedicated to making architecture and design more accessible to all. Through its public programs, exhibitions, and tours, the Foundation is creating a lasting impact by raising awareness of how design shapes and enhances our everyday lives. We enjoyed running and walking through the heart of Downtown and Uptown Dallas, and we're proud to stand alongside such a meaningful cause. Datum had a great time supporting the LEEF (Leander Educational Excellence Foundation) at their annual gala! Our special guest and Superintendent at Leander ISD, Dr. Gearing, joined us to support the organization’s fundraising efforts.?LEEF’s mission is to raise funds to provide Leander ISD teachers with grants for educational initiatives in their classrooms. LEEF grants are awarded for instructional materials, teaching aids, campus projects, literacy programs, professional development and other resources, not available through traditional funding. We've kicked the new year off with two career fairs! Our first stop, the Student Engineers' Council career fair at Texas A&M University. Members of our #SanAntonio team enjoyed meeting #aggies and learning about their career aspirations. Next, we made our way to The University of Texas at Austin for the Spring Engineering Expo. BRING YOUR DAUGHTER TO WORK DAY...well, sort of. One of our future #Datumeers spent a few hours at the Austin office and chose to spend her time proving the fundamental theorem of calculus (we think).
