关于我们
Dataspace4Health is a collaboration between NTT DATA, H?pitaux Robert Schuman, Luxembourg Institute of Health, the University of Luxembourg, Agence eSanté, and Luxembourg National Data Service. The project is aiming to build a health dataspace through interconnecting various stakeholders from the healthcare ecosystem. By creating a secure health dataspace offering Gaia-X compliant services, the project aims to enable new healthcare services and improve patient outcomes, offering secure health data to researchers while preserving data ownership and privacy. DS4H is based on the EU Strategy for Data and the Gaia-X initiative for federated and secure data infrastructure. The project will address multiple aspects at different levels, including business, legal, and technical. This initiative is an innovative step towards the digital transformation of the healthcare sector in Luxembourg and Europe. Follow our page for the latest news and events.

The #Dataspace4Health team had an enriching experience at the European Digital Health Tech Conference, organized by Luxinnovation at the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce this week. The core focus was on the European Health Data Space (EHDS), with speakers from academia, industry, and healthcare sharing their perspectives on how #EHDS can revolutionize data sharing among stakeholders and contribute to better health outcomes. Magali Boers, Program Director at the Ministry of Health, highlighted how EHDS will reshape Luxembourg’s healthcare landscape. She emphasized the crucial role that the knowledge gained by the Dataspace4Health team will play in the implementation of EHDS in Luxembourg. Dmitry Etin, NTT DATA, Inc. provided a global perspective on EHDS broadening our understanding of its impact. Our team had the opportunity to engage with various stakeholders, including industry experts, academia, SMEs, and pharma representatives, discussing their visions for EHDS and the active role Dataspace4Health is playing in this transformation. The Minister for Digitalization and Research, Stéphanie Obertin concluded by emphasizing the government's commitment to making Luxembourg a strategic hub for data, supercomputing, and quantum technologies. We are excited to be part of this transformative journey and look forward to contributing to the future of digital health! #DigitalHealth #EHDS #DataInnovation #HealthcareTransformation #Luxembourg

Dataspace4Health joined the Gaia-X reception held at the European Parliament, hosted by MEP Tomislav Sokol. Due to the launch event of the European Health Data Space regulation by the European Commission in Brussels on the same day, the?event focused specifically on the vision and roadmap of European leaders regarding the European Health Data Space and its potential to enhance citizens' medical experiences by enabling seamless data sharing across different hospitals. MEP Sokol emphasized the importance of creating a unified health data space that would allow patients to share their medical data effortlessly, improving healthcare outcomes and patient experiences. He highlighted how this initiative aligns with the broader goals of European leaders to foster innovation and collaboration in healthcare. Ulrich Ahle (CEO of Gaia-X) presented the Gaia-X efforts in building a trust framework that can be leveraged to ensure secure and reliable data sharing. This framework is crucial for establishing confidence among stakeholders and facilitating the smooth exchange of health data across borders. Bert Verdonck (CEO of LNDS and Board member of Gaia-X) introduced the concept of dataspaces in terms of the secondary use of data, particularly in the context of rare disease research. He explained that researchers often require data from multiple countries to construct a sizeable dataset, which is essential for advancing research in rare diseases. Bert outlined the challenges that need to be addressed to enable the secondary use of data, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and data interoperability. Project Dataspace4Health was mentioned at the event, with attendees recognizing its potential to revolutionize healthcare data sharing and research. Furthermore, Dataspace4Health stressed the need for closing the data loop, where outputs from secondary data use can be integrated back into primary care. It was pointed out that currently, primary and secondary uses of data are isolated by legislation, but MEP Sokol assured that he would consider this aspect of data sharing to close the data loop and enhance healthcare delivery. It is certainly positive to see Data Spaces at the very core of that debate. The Gaia-X reception at the EU Parliament showcased the collaborative efforts of various stakeholders in advancing the European Health Data Space, highlighting the importance of trust, interoperability, and legislative support in achieving a unified and efficient healthcare system. If you are at ???? Luxembourg's European Digital Health Tech Conference next week (March, 25-26), come by the panel where I have a pleasure to present the impact of Dataspace4Health on health data exchange in the country through the lenses of the EHDS regulation. Digital Health space is so hot these days, that the conference is fully sold out, so I don't leave the link to register ?? (however you can get yourself on the waiting list with Max Krecké of Luxinnovation GIE ). The major part of the conference is going to explore regulatory impact (think of AI Act and EHDS) on cross-border care, EHR systems access to market and easier access to health data by researchers. With Guillaume Schaack moderating the discussion and my fellow panelists Hernán Lew, Dr Zied Tayeb, Charles-Eric Winandy we will debate what's the impact of the regulation and consequent certification needs: how to bring new products to market and how to preserve flow of the data to innovators for research & development and back to the care delivery. ?? Thanks to the DS4H team for inviting me to take part in this discussion Marta Duponselle Michael Mossal Katharina Hrom

Connecting Data Across the Globe - Today marks a significant achievement in our Dataspace4Health project. We successfully conducted the first full interoperability test of Dataspace between Japan and Luxembourg. This milestone was achieved through the collaboration of NTT DATA in Japan, NTT DATA, Inc. in Luxembourg, The University of Tokyo, and the Luxembourg National Data Service (LNDS). This test demonstrates our commitment to creating a truly interconnected global data infrastructure. By ensuring full interoperability, we are paving the way for more efficient and secure data exchanges across borders. This will not only enhance the quality of healthcare services but also foster innovation and collaboration among international partners. The success of this test is a proof to the hard work of our teams in Japan and Luxembourg. Together, we are building a robust foundation for the future of global data connectivity. As we continue to build on this momentum, we look forward to further use cases and technical breakthroughs in our Dataspace4Health project. Our goal is to create a world where data can flow freely and securely, driving progress and improving lives everywhere.
